Panasonic
WV-F565
3-CCD Digital Processing Camera
HS-FIT CCD with Third-generation DSP Assures 1 lux, 65dB S/N Ratio, 850 Lines.
Panasonic brings you the advanced WV-F565, three 1/2" HS-FIT (High-Sensitivity Frame-lnterline
Transfer) CCD camera. The camera is designed to sustain a superb picture quality under a wide range of
illumination, with 1 lux minimum scene illumination. The camera's performance can be optimally
realized even at near darkness. Night-eye mode automatically switches to gain (+30dB) and dual-pixel
read out to simulate +36 dB gain. This enables a high sensitivity of 1 lux.
The HS-FIT CCD suppresses smear to a low level (-125dB) and the effective aperture of its on-the-chip
lenses is improved, which increases incoming light to each pixel. Also, the incorporated DSP (Digital
Signal Processing) circuitry delivers third-generation 10 bit processing capability and a Clean DNR
(Digital Noise Reduction) function reduces noise. As the result, a stunning S/N ratio of 65dB is obtained
at +0dB gain. Also, 850-line horizontal resolution ensures highly defined picture details.
Panasonic WV-F565... For a totally new image!
Clean DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) Ensures Noise-Free Pictures
A Clean Digital Noise Reduction function eliminates noise using a newly developed algorithm, without
image blur or deteriorating resolution or lag, which was conventional, a by product of noise reduction.
Remarkably high signal-to-noise ratio of 65dB is obtained at 0dB gain and at +9dB gain an incredible
60dB signal-to-noise ratio is achieved.
Night-Eye Mode Enables Outstanding Picture even at 1 Lux
Night-eye mode switch automatically simulates +36dB gain by +30dB boost and resetting horizontal CCD
read out to a dual-pixel system. This enables a very low minimum scene illumination of 1 lux.
Chroma Detail Adds Detail to Highly Saturated Color
Chroma Detail is included in the digital processing circuits to compensate for poor resolution in the high
chroma areas of the picture, a function only available via digital processing systems.
Dark Detail Circuit
The Dark Detail circuit makes use of multiple luminance sensitive algorithms, to determine the optimum
degree of contour. This Digital Signal Processing function is capable of enhancing the contours of objects
as fine as strands of human hair, even under challenging lighting conditions, providing crisp, clear,
natural-looking images.
Highlight Chroma
A built-in highlight chroma circuit expands the dynamic range of chroma in the highlighted areas, and
prevents halation, producing detailed color when viewed under challenging light or daylight.
Precision Detail
Precision detail function provides natural, crisp edge signal is set to appropriate width to remove excessive
aperture of a picture.
On-Screen Setup Menu for Simple Setting of Field Scene Data - using the Side-Pocket Switch
Just look into the viewfinder and use the side-pocket switch for easy setting of field scene data, such as
Field/Frame and, Chroma Gain, and for 0 /0/7.5% IRE color bar setup, etc.
Five (5) Adaptive Scene File Modes Respond to Various Shooting Conditions
To further enhance operational speed and flexibility, a total of five (5), easy to use, adaptive scene files are
included. Two (2) user modes for your custom parameter setting, and three (3) preset modes for studio,
ENG, and low light application. Even under highly challenging lighting conditions, you can count on the
WV-F565's high performance.
*A/B User Files: 58 digital adjustments can be set.
*Studio Mode.
*ENG Mode: in this mode, settings for three kinds of lighting are automated;
for halogen lighting, for fluorescent lighting and for daylight shooting.
*Low Light Mode
